Linn Records Nominated for Six International Classical Music Awards
Linn Records is proud to announce that six Linn recordings have been nomiated for the 2011 International Classical Music Awards.
We are thrilled to share that Philip Hobbs, Linn Records' Chief Producer, has received the prestigious Prise de Son Award from Diapason!
Having dedicated more than three decades to the pursuit of sound excellence it is wonderful that his exceptional talents have been recognized in this way. This award follows last year's Trophée from Radio Classique which Philip collected for Best Sound Recording of the Year (Debussy: Nocturnes – Duruflé: Requiem by Robin Ticciati & DSO Berlin).
Upon awarding the accolade Diapason wrote: "Each of the recordings by Philip Hobbs, Linn Records' artistic director, could be described as an exceptional sound recording, as the assiduous care he takes in his work gives the appearance of great simplicity. This immense talent is particularly evident on the album 'J.S. Bach: The Well-Tempered Consort – I' by Phantasm."
We also have the following 2020 Diapason d'Or de l'année winners available to download in Studio Master:
