The Preis der deutschen Schallplattenkritik (German Record Critics' Award) longlist has been announced and two Linn recordings are being considered.
The debut recording by Maxim Emelyanychev and Scottish Chamber Orchestra, Schubert: Symphony No. 9 in C major, 'The Great', D. 944, is being considered in the Orchestral Music category.
The latest pioneering recording by John Butt and Dunedin Consort, Handel: Samson, is also considered, in the Choral and Vocal Ensemble category.
Both recordings are among the most critically acclaimed Linn recordings of 2019, so we are pleased to see that the praise is continuing in 2020.
