Concerto Caledonia - Oswald: Colin's Kisses -The Northern Echo

Colin's kisses is a set of delightful songs on the subject of kissing. Colin, not at all constant, changes from Coelia to chloe, Polly and then to Fanny. There's a Dust Cart Cantata (plus a lovely Sylvia) too. Catherine Bott and Ian Paton sing James Oswald's songs with commendable clarity of diction.

These and other songs, are interspersed with some charming instrumental pieces from Concerto Caledonia including Airs for the Season and arrangements of Scottish tunes(31 items in all). A delightful entertainment and insight ninto some charming and graceful miniatures of the 18th century.
