Helmuth Rilling, the one and only artistic director of the Oregon Bach Festival will be handing over the reins to the young, British conductor Matthew Halls after the 2013 season. Halls, age 35, is a rising star in the classical music world with a stellar background in Baroque music as well solid footing in the Romantic tradition, Twentieth Century works, and new music.
