Gramophone guest blog - Rosenna East: From Mozart to Berlioz
Scottish Chamber Orchestra Violinist, Rosenna East, writes guest blog for Gramophone: From Mozart to Berlioz
Last summer Corinne Morris and the Scottish Chamber Orchestra recorded Chrysalis in Edinburgh's beautiful Usher Hall.
This video, taken during the recording sessions for the album, features the Sicilienne from Couperin's Pièces en Concert. Described by Corinne as 'a lovely set of pieces' this is the second of the five movements that complete Couperin's collection.
Note the absence of a conductor which leaves Corinne free to direct from the cello, creating a true chamber music experience.
