Dougie MacLean to perform at Commonwealth Games Closing Ceremony
Widely regarded as one of Scotland's finest singer songwriters, Dougie MacLean will join Deacon Blue, Lulu and Kylie Minogue as one of just a handful of artists to perform at the prestigious closing ceremony of the 2014 Commonwealth Games. As the writer of Scotland's unofficial anthem, 'Caledonia', Dougie will be sure to enhance the national pride that has surrounded these hugely enjoyable games.
Glasgow 2014 chief executive David Grevemberg said: 'We are delighted to reveal the glittering line-up of Scottish and international talent joining us in Hampden Park for the closing ceremony.' The ceremony will begin at 9pm on Sunday 3rd August and will bring to a close the games held in Linn's home-town of Glasgow.
