Join The Ninetieth Birthday Celebrations
BBC National Orchestra of Wales celebrates its ninetieth birthday today, so we are looking back over our partnership together and ahead to our next recording which will be released in June.
Under the direction of Principal Conductor Thomas Søndergård, BBC NOW has recorded four of Sibelius' symphonies for Linn and will shine a spotlight on a further two major strands of the Finnish master's compositional output - theatre music and the tone poem - on the forthcoming release: 'Sibelius: Finlandia'.
Celebrations include a live streamed concert which is broadcast today at 7.30pm (GMT).
