Opus Klassik Nomination For Alexander Chance

Congratulations to countertenor Alexander Chance who has been shortlisted in the Young Talent of the Year category by the Opus Klassik jury. This is the first time that the Opus Klassik jury has selected a shortlist of nominees, which it has shared ahead of the winners’ announcement next month.

Drop not, Mine Eyes is Alexander's debut recording so we are especially pleased that it has been recognised by the jury. This recital of English lute songs soaks up the zeitgeist of the past couple of years to create a programme full of melancholic works by Dowland, Campion, Danyel, Purcell and others. Toby Carr provides sympathetic accompaniment on lute and theorbo.

The winners will be announced in mid-June and the awards ceremony will be held in October 2024.
