SCO's Mozart named Gramophone Choice
'Mozart: Divertimento K.334 & Oboe Quartet K.370' by the Scottish Chamber Orchestra has been named Gramophone ‘Choice' in the music magazine's February issue.
This recording allows the Scottish Chamber Orchestra Ensemble, a group of principal players from the SCO, to shine as they perform a selection of Mozart's chamber works written for smaller forces. This intimate performance showcases the wealth of talent present in this multi-award-winning orchestra.
Gramophone is not the only magazine which has been full of praise for this lovely recording:
'Alexander Janiczek plays the violin beautifully, and the Scots band backs him up all the way.' Audiophile Audition
'An enjoyable, well-considered recording.' International Record Review
'If only all the world's chamber orchestras had this approach!' Early Music Review
