Duo Pleyel Announce Launch Concert
Mozart's Real Musical Father is launched with a concert in Alkmaar
The popular husband and wife duo of Richard Egarr and Alexandra Nepomnyashchaya is back in the studio to continue its objective to bring the rich and exciting repertoire for piano four-hands to a wider public.
Following recordings of four-hands music by Johann Christian Bach (the ‘London Bach’) , Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Jan Ladislav Dussek and Franz Schubert, Duo Pleyel are now recording music by Ludwig van Beethoven.
The recording, at the Lutherse Kerk, Haarlem, will include piano four-hands arrangements of Beethoven's Pastorale and Eroica symphonies by Carl Czerny performed on an incredible 1836 Erard piano from the Maene Collection.
