Barb Jungr premieres her new show in New York
Barb Jungr premieres "The Men I Love," a brand new show, in her Cafe Carlyle debut. Barb earned Time Out NY's Best of the Year honors for her two Metropolitan Room shows in 2008 and has been named "a complete entertainer" by Stephen Holden of The New York Times.
In "The Men I Love," as she has done most notably with the music of Bob Dylan, Jungr re-imagines a flock of contemporary tunes. Among the predominantly American songwriters whom Jungr loves are Bruce Springsteen, Bob Dylan, Todd Rundgren, Leonard Cohen, Neil Diamond, the Talking Heads, and Paul Simon.
"The Men I Love" features Jungr's talented London music director and arranger Simon Wallace on piano.
"The Men I Love": 11th - 28th March 2009 at The Cafe Carlyle, in The Carlyle Hotel, New York
Wed, Thu, Fri @ 8.45pm and Sat @ 8.45pm and 10.45pm
