David Paul Jones wins Award
We are pleased to announce that David Paul Jones beat off competition from three other finalists (Primal Scream, Kenny Anderson (King Creosote) and Emeli Sande) to win the Glenfiddich Spirit Of Scotland Award for Music. Congratulations David on a well deserved win!
David Paul Jones will be known to many Linn fans for his beautiful debut 'Something There', an album of original compositions which The Herald described as "long, leisurely, dreamy, endlessly beautiful... richly romantic and rapturously nostalgic".
David has performed with a diverse range of artists including Alyth McCormack, Catriona McKay, Zoey Van Goey, Orquestra Scotland Brasil and Sidewinder. He has performed in festivals throughout the UK and worldwide including South America, Australia, Middle East and USA.
His recent soundtracks include Caged (Catherine Wheels) which has been nominated for Best Theatre Production for Children & Young People for the 2011 CATS awards; The Attic (Starcatchers/Imaginate) and a chamber opera The Songbird (Giant Productions) which was awarded a Herald Angel Award at the 2010 Edinburgh Festival.
