Robin Ticciati & DSO Berlin - Debussy: Nocturnes – Duruflé: Requiem - Pizzicato
Robin Ticciati continues his recordings of French music with a rather contrasting programme, the Nocturnes by Claude Debussy and the Requiem by Maurice Durufé. His Nocturnes have rich colours, they focus more on tension and eloquence than on impressionistic moods. All of this is brilliantly performed by a top-class orchestra and an excellent choir. Maurice Duruflé’s Requiem is a music of hope and confidence. Ticciati perfectly combines orchestral sound and choral singing. The singing is fluent, balanced and transparent.
