Lectures Différentes Wins Award
Last night Kebyart picked up the Best Classical Music Album Award from Enderrock for it's debut Linn recording, Lectures différentes. The four young saxophonists were in Vilabrareix, Spain to attend the award ceremony. In awarding this accolade Enderrock stated:
The second album by the Kebyart saxophone quartet offers a wide range of versions with a rich array of tímbric colours, textures and dynamics. A good example is the superlative version and adaptation of the three movements of the neoclassical suite from Ígor Stravinsky's ballet Pulcinella...
This isn't the first time this exciting ensemble has been recognised: they have already won several important chamber music prizes for their interpretations. Among them, the Swiss Orpheus Chamber Music Competition (Switzerland), the International Franz Cibulka Competition (Austria) and two of the most important prizes in their country: the Primer Palau, organised by the Palau de la Música Catalana and the prestigious BBVA Chamber.
Congratulations to Kebyart!
