With a song in my heart - Gill Manly - Scotland on Sunday

There is much to savour about this recording. London-based Manly has, ironically, a very feminine, feather-light voice, terrific control and - judging by the selection here - great taste in repertoire and musicians. Trumpeter Guy Barker and pianist Simon Wallace lead an impressive quartet which creates just the right atmosphere for Manly's intimate vocal style.
