Handel Recorder Sonatas - Gramophone
An enchanting collection from the mid-1720s played with virtuosity by Pamela Thorby, a regular member of the Palladian Ensemble. No one knows for whom they were written or why, but such is the magic that Thorby weaves that the works' origins are irrelevant. The recording offers a precise aural picture that complements the charms of the performances. Richard Egarr is a superb partner.
