SCO Winds - Mozart: Divertimenti - The Perth Courier (Live Review)
...
The two remaining works were more substantial than the others, elongated versions of the Divertimenti, and thus more satisfying and fulfilling. Mozart's Serenade and Beethoven's Sextet, both in E flat, showed all players in equal light. It was hard to separate the two, certainly not in terms of performance but each had their own little gems than shone through. The Mozart Adagio was one of his finest, with the players adding a touch of vivace to the final Allegro and the crowning moments on the Beethoven were the opening and closing movements.
And as for the players? Undoubtedly six of the very best.
