    Soprano Golda Schultz commenced her musical studies in her homeland of South Africa before completing her training at New York’s Juilliard School and at the Opernstudio of Munich’s Bayerische Staatsoper. 

    Golda Schultz’s operatic credits include Contessa Almaviva (Le nozze di Figaro) at Wiener Staatsoper, Opernhaus Zürich, Glyndebourne Festival Opera and at The Metropolitan Opera; Liù (Turandot) at Wiener Staatsoper and Bayerische Staatsoper; Clara in Jake Heggie’s It’s A Wonderful Life at San Francisco Opera, Susanna (Le nozze di Figaro) at Teatro Alla Scala (released on DVD), Sophie (Der Rosenkavalier) at Salzburger and Münchener Festspiele, New National Theatre Tokyo and The Metropolitan Opera; Vitellia (La Clemenza di Tito) at Salzburger Festspiele; Agathe (Der Freischütz) at Bayerische Staatsoper; Pamina (Die Zauberflöte), Nanetta (Falstaff) and Clara in the Grammy-winning production of Porgy and Bess at The Metropolitan Opera.

    On the concert platform, Golda Schultz has been featured soloist at the BBC Last Night of the Proms, appeared at the Salzburg Easter Festival under Christian Thielemann in Mozart, Requiem, performed Mendelssohn, Elijah with The Gewandhaus Orchester Leipzig under Andris Nelsons, sung Mahler, Symphony No.2 under Fabio Luisi at the Verbier Festival and joined the Los Angeles Philharmonic for Strauss, Vier Letzte Lieder with Gustavo Dudamel and for Sibelius, Luonnotar with Esa-Pekka Salonen. 

    An acclaimed recitalist, Golda Schultz and Jonathan Ware have performed together extensively including at London’s Wigmore Hall, Berlin’s Boulez Saal and New York’s Weill Recital Hall.
