Gramophone Editor's Choice

The Prince Consort's debut recording 'Ned Rorem - On an echoing road' has been named Editor's Choice in the February issue of Gramophone!

Ned Rorem, who Time Magazine called "the world's best composer of art songs", is also interviewed in this issue. Rorem gave the Prince Consort's recording his unreserved approval commenting "The performances alone and together are in every way ideal. The recording is flawless".

The composer is so taken with the group that he is writing a new work specially for them, which they will premiere at London's Wigmore Hall in March. Gramophone described 'Ned Rorem - On an echoing road' as "a most attractive disc".

Gramophone Magazine is not the only publication to fall in love with this lovely album...

  • "[It] takes it place among the best Rorem song discs ever assembled...purchase absolutely required!" 5 stars Audiophile Audition
  • "The performances catch every drop of that naturalness...it crystallises its essence perfectly." 4 stars The Guardian
  • "Such a delight." BBC Radio 3 - CD Review
