Sir Charles and the SCO triumph at the Classical BRITs!
'Mozart Symphonies 38 - 41' wins Critics' Award
The Scottish Chamber Orchestra are taking a trip across the pond to perform four concerts in the States. Alexander Janiczek and Piotr Anderszewski will be directing the Orchestra from the violin and piano respectively.
The programme includes Mendelssohn's 'Overture, The Hebrides (Fingal's Cave)' which was recorded on the first album the SCO recorded with Linn. The Orchestra have proven they have a special affinity with Mozart, having secured many awards for their performances of his works, so it is no surprise to see two pieces from the great composer on the programme. Beethoven's Scenes from Prometheus completes the programme.
You can be sure the SCO will perform with their typical energy and sparkle, making these not-to-be-missed concerts.
