Belcea Quartet - Brahms: String Sextets - Record Geijutsu

Brahms’ two string sextets are profound compositions, full of romantic melodies which reflect the composer’s love and longing. We hear these young musicians performing these melodies from the bottom of their hearts. The ensemble of six players is superlative. Both pieces are excellently played. The second sextet is monumental.
