But in every one of these he has something new to offer. The earthy tempo and dynamic contrasts of the Pathétique, the effective lack of sentimentality of Moonlight, the well-tempered shock tactics of teh Tempest and the powerhouse playing of Appassionata are typical of Pizarro's mesmerising mix of showmanship and intellect.
