The music was originally set to French lyrics (Minuit, chrétiens) by composer Adolphe Adam in 1843, the same decade that saw the invention of the saxophone by another man with the same name: Adolphe Sax. The combination of Sare’s magical voice and distinctive expressive approach, together with Kebyart’s trademark musical quotations and transformative new colours, brings a fresh dimension which joyfully embraces the spirit of the season.
