Doesn’t that just exude joy and lightness? That’s pianist Francesco Piemontesi’s second Mozart recording with the Scottish Chamber Orchestra conducted by Andrew Manze – the same intimacy of approach, the sharing of solo and orchestral lines so well judged and Piemontesi’s understated approach is a delight – the phrasing and articulation is clear and precise and musical. It’s a beautifully balanced recording as well with a lovely acoustic halo around the sound, we were just commenting on it in the studio.
