Chiyan Wong Wins Salzburg Prize

Congratulations to pianist Chiyan Wong who has been selected as a Prize Winner of the Mozarteum International Summer Academy. Named 'one of the most promising young artists', Chiyan performed Busoni’s Sonatina Seconda at the Prize Winner’s concert on the evening of the 25th August as part of the Salzburg Festival. 

This new accolade comes almost exactly a year after Chiyan Wong signed with Linn to release his debut album Liszt Transfigured: Operatic Fantasies for Piano. Since then he has received acclaim for his live performances, notable at the Singapore International Piano Festival, and his Liszt recording, with MusicWeb International stating: 'I have run out of superlatives here as this really is a stupendous recording.'
