Julie Roset
Julie Roset, high coloratura soprano completed her Bachelor in 2019 at the Haute Ecole de Musique de Genève in ancient music and is currently at the Juilliard School of New-York in the Artist Diploma Program in the class of Edith Wiens. She won three prizes in the 2016 edition of Young Talent Competition of Avignon and at the Corneille Competition in September 2019, then the Second prize at the Froville Competition.
Biography
In opera, she has performed Papagena in the Zauberflöte of Mozart, Aurora and Giunone in La Finta Pazza of Sacrati, and more recently Amour in Titon et l’Aurore from Mondonville with Les Arts Florissants conducted by William Christie. In concert, she performs in baroques festivals with the ensembles Cappella Mediterranea, Clematis, Holland Baroque, Les Argonautes, Gli Angeli, and the ensemble Correspondances.
She was a member of the Festival Aix-en-Provence’s Academy for singers of 2019 conducted by Raphael Pichon. She made several recordings, particularly with Cappella Mediterranea conducted by Leonardo Garcia Alarcon : in 2017, Lettera Amorosa around Monteverdi, in 2018, the madrigals of Arcadelt, Orfeo from Monteverdi and Samson from Haendel and her first solo CD with the ensemble Clematis Nun Danket Alle Gott in 2020.
In 2021, she was part of the Brabant recorded with Holland Baroque, Membra Jesu Nostri with Ensemble Correspondances, and Lamenti e Sospiri with Cappella Mediterranea. She returned to the festival of Aix-en-Provence for Il Combatimento with the Ensemble Correspondances in July 2021, before going to the Internationale Meistersinger Akademie in Neumarkt. She performed her first Incoronazione di Poppea of Monteverdi with Cappella Mediterranea in 2022.
